I was born in Burnley, Lancashire in 1974 where I studied Art and Design at the college before moving to Stockport college to study H.N.D Illustration. I followed that with a B.A in Illustration at Loughborough university. Since then I have continued to paint mainly on a large scale in my favoured medium; watercolour. I paint a wide range of subjects from figurative to wildlife and botanical. Watercolour is the perfect medium for me, it is an exciting and unpredictable medium with a great purity of colour.
I regularly show my work at the Mall Galleries in London where I won the award for the Windsor & Newton Young Artist of the Year 2000 for the painting of the "Crowned Cranes".
